Frenchy’s Oasis Motel adds third consecutive White Glove Award and four Awards of Excellence
Florida Superior Small Lodging Association (SSL), one of the hospitality industry’s oldest and most respected associations for boutique lodgings under 50 rooms, recently announced that Frenchy’s Oasis Motel was once again among the winners of the prestigious Donal A. Dermody White Glove Award, the organization’s highest recognition for housekeeping achievement. The annual evaluation was performed by the Property Review Program, an independent on-site inspection service. Frenchy’s Oasis Motel has been an SSL member since 2011.
Additionally, the St. Petersburg/Clearwater Florida Area Superior Small Lodging™ Association (SSLA), recognized 17 of their members with a new Awards of Excellence initiative for their innovation and implementation of impactful changes, that deliver a superior guest experience. Frenchy’s Oasis Motel earned an Award of Excellence in the following categories:
Family Choice – Rooms offer fully equipped kitchens with many amenities; Onsite pool, beach, recreation area for families; pool and/or beach toys; Laundry facility available to guests; Child-specific activities and amenities; Family-friendly guide to give to guests
Guest Amenities – Unexpected unique amenities offered to guests; Ingenious ways to show appreciation to guests
Guest Service – Guest reviews from online sites like TripAdvisor, Google, etc. that specifically mention the exceptional service by front office, housekeeping and maintenance personnel
Pool and Patio – Clean, attractive furnishings, decking and landscaping around pool area, pool towels provided to guests; three or more amenities for pool area available to guests
The pioneering work of the SSLA in creating a standard to visibly measure these higher, specialized features among its membership, proves again, that “…the 17 members who earned these awards, and other SSLA properties, consistently deliver a superior vacation experience and helps to make the St. Petersburg/Clearwater Florida area a highly desirable place for world travelers,” according to D.T. Minich, Director of Visit St. Petersburg Clearwater.
